Senior Financial Controller | Hybrid, Ifrs​/Gaap Leader

Our client is a prominent mining and minerals group, seeking an experienced Senior Financial Controller to oversee financial operations at their key facility in Rustenburg, North West
.

• Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Develop and manage the annual budget and financial forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and local regulations.
• Implement and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering professional development.
• Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial accounting and control roles, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector.
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS and South African accounting regulations.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding, on‑site environment.
