About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automotive Mechanic to join their workshop in Rustenburg . You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. This role requires a deep understanding of automotive systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship. As a senior member of the team, you will also play a part in mentoring junior mechanics and upholding the workshop's reputation for excellence in
** Rustenburg**, contributing to both on-site operations and potentially remote diagnostic support for complex cases.
- Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to identify and resolve vehicle issues efficiently.
- Perform hybrid and electric vehicle repairs and maintenance as required.
- Advise customers on the condition of their vehicles and recommend necessary repairs or services.
- Mentor and train junior mechanics, providing guidance and support on technical tasks.
- Trade qualification as an Automotive Mechanic or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and automotive software.
- Strong knowledge of engine performance, driveline, and chassis systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with hybrid and electric vehicle technology is a plus.
