About the Role
Our client, a well-established automotive workshop in Rustenburg , is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Automotive Mechanic . This individual will be responsible for overseeing complex repairs, ensuring the highest quality of workmanship, and providing expert guidance to the workshop team. You will play a vital role in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
This is a key position within our service department, offering the chance to utilize extensive automotive knowledge and leadership skills.
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on all vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical, and climate control.
- Lead and mentor junior mechanics, providing technical support and training.
- Ensure all repair work is completed accurately, efficiently, and according to manufacturer standards.
- Operate and maintain advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct quality control checks on completed repair work before vehicle handover to customers.
- Manage parts inventory and order necessary components for repairs.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as a certified automotive mechanic, with a significant portion in a master or lead role.
- Master Certified or equivalent high-level automotive certifications (e.g., ASE L1-L3).
- Expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex drivability, electrical, and engine performance issues.
- Proficiency with electronic diagnostic tools, including scan tools and oscilloscopes.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
