About the Role
Our client is looking for a diligent and experienced Site Engineer to join their construction team in Rustenburg. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects on-site, focusing on technical accuracy, quality control, and adherence to project plans and safety regulations. You will be responsible for translating engineering designs into practical construction activities, managing site resources, and collaborating closely with the site manager and construction crew.
This is a hands‑on role for a professional dedicated to delivering high-quality construction outcomes in the North West province.
- Supervise and direct construction activities on-site, ensuring work is performed according to engineering specifications and drawings.
- Conduct quality checks and tests to ensure materials and workmanship meet project standards.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications for site personnel.
- Manage site resources, including equipment, materials, and labor, ensuring efficient utilization.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress logs, and safety documentation.
- Liaise with the project manager, subcontractors, and suppliers to address site issues and ensure project timelines are met.
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar construction role.
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective site coordination.
