Crew; Construction

In this role you will be responsible for:

• . The incumbent will be responsible for all functions relating to the Crew (Construction), the role’s purpose is to form part of the crew responsible for civil construction duties.
• . The incumbent will report to the Project Coordinator and will be responsible for project production targets and deliverables related to all stores and logistics functions, compliance with the company’s HSEC system is essential, ensuring implementation of management decision, legal requirements and company standards/policies.

• . Grade 10.
• . At least 3 - 5 years’ previous experience in the construction industry dealing with civil, structural steel and process plant projects.
• . Have experience with the fabrication and installation of pipes (HDPE and Steel).
• . Have experience with the the erection of structural steel.
• . Have experience with the the installation of cable racks.
• . Have experience with with bricklaying, carpentry, painting.
• . Have experience with with fencing installations.
• . Have experience as a concrete hand (placing, compacting and finishing of concrete).
• . Have experience experience in the erection of shutters (levelling, propping, cleaning and installing corner fillets).
• . Have experience in reinforcing (placing, binding, and supporting of mesh and rebar).
• . Have experience as a spotter to control vehicles on site.
• . Have working at heights experience. (Training will be an advantage).
• . Must have plant and construction safety experience with knowledge of risk assessments, safety toolbox talks.
• . Must be a team player and be able to work well with others.
• . Ability to function independently.
• . Must be prepared to work overtime and additional shifts.
• . Medically Fit.
