About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Remote Quantity Surveyor to manage construction costs and contracts for projects nationwide. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere within South Africa . You will be responsible for cost estimation, tender analysis, contract administration, and financial reporting, ensuring profitability and value for our client. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, highly organized, and possess exceptional analytical skills to navigate the financial complexities of construction projects.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for various construction projects.
• Analyze tenders, negotiate with contractors, and prepare contract documentation.
• Monitor project expenditure, manage variations, and process payments to contractors.
• Conduct financial risk assessments and advise on cost-saving measures.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and final accounts for projects.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company financial policies.

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in cost estimating software and standard forms of contract.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and market rates.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
