About the Role
Our client, a leading player in the infrastructure development sector, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager for projects in the Rustenburg area. You will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and completion of large-scale infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and utilities. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of project management principles within the civil engineering and construction domains.
You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget, upholding the company's commitment to quality and sustainability in North West .
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Oversee and manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
- Lead and motivate project teams, including engineers, contractors, and site personnel.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on all project sites.
- Manage stakeholder communications, including clients, government agencies, and community representatives.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies effectively.
- Manage contract administration, procurement, and financial control for projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction project management , with a focus on infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects valued at over R50 million.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC or similar contract conditions and construction law.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
