Senior Site Engineer - Infrastructure Development

Our client, a leading construction and infrastructure development company, is seeking a dedicated Senior Site Engineer to manage and oversee construction activities in Rustenburg , North West Province. This role is pivotal to the successful execution of large-scale civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. • Supervise and manage all on‑site construction activities for civil engineering projects.
• Ensure that construction work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Develop and implement detailed construction schedules and monitor progress against milestones.
• Manage site resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, ensuring efficient utilization.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and rectify any deviations or quality issues.
• Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols on site, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for project management.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and the design team to resolve technical issues and facilitate work.
• Manage site documentation, including RFI logs, site instructions, and daily records.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns.
• Ensure the proper handover of completed project sections.

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) registration with ECSA is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in site engineering and construction management for civil infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large construction sites and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control processes.
• Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software and construction drawing interpretation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Valid driver's license is essential for site mobility in and around Rustenburg .
