Masedi Electric-Serve, an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) construction and maintenance company operating in the North West and Northern Cape, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for a Site Manager position on a mining maintenance contract.

The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for safe, efficient and profitable site operations, ensuring maintenance activities are completed timeously, to specification, within budget and in accordance with contractual requirements. The role requires strong leadership, sound client relations and effective management of site personnel and resources.

Lead, plan and coordinate daily maintenance and project activities, manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors to meet agreed schedules and deliverables.

Ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety requirements, client rules, company procedures and applicable engineering and industry standards.

Manage maintenance contract administration, scope of work, specifications, bills of quantities (BOQs), work orders, drawings and quality plans.

Monitor project costs, productivity, resource utilisation and cost of sales; implement corrective actions to protect contract profitability.

Compile and verify monthly progress claims, identify additional work and variations, and support accurate quotations, estimates, tenders and RFQs.

Maintain effective client communication, resolve operational issues promptly and ensure contractual service levels and client expectations are met.

Oversee quality control and assurance, inspections, corrective actions and accurate completion of quality documentation.

Manage site employees, attendance, performance, discipline, skills development and constructive industrial relations.

Control company assets, tools, equipment, materials and procurement in line with company procedures and supplier requirements.

Prepare accurate daily activity reports, weekly progress and cost reports, quality reports and inputs to quarterly management reports.

Support company objectives relating to employment equity, skills development and responsible procurement.

Grade 12 and a recognized Electrical Trade Certificate.

At least three years’ proven experience in E&I construction or industrial maintenance site supervision/management; site management experience preferred.

Practical experience managing maintenance contracts in an industrial or mining environment preferred.

Sound knowledge of E&I maintenance, engineering standards, safety requirements, BOQs and contract administration.

Strong planning, leadership, communication, negotiation and client relationship skills.

Ability to manage budgets, cost reporting, progress claims, scope changes and contract performance.

Competence in workforce management, quality assurance, procurement and asset control.

Computer literacy, including preparation of reports and use of Microsoft Office.
