BIM Coordinator; Architecture

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and technically proficient BIM Coordinator to lead the implementation and management of Building Information Modeling processes for their architectural projects in Rustenburg . You will be responsible for establishing BIM standards, managing the federated model, and ensuring seamless collaboration among project stakeholders. This role is crucial for enhancing project efficiency, reducing errors, and improving overall project delivery.

You will be instrumental in driving the adoption of advanced digital workflows within the firm, contributing to their reputation for technological leadership in the North West province.

• Develop and implement BIM execution plans and project-specific BIM standards.
• Manage the creation, coordination, and delivery of BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct clash detection analysis and coordinate resolution with relevant disciplines.
• Train and support project teams on BIM software and workflows.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of BIM data and documentation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to facilitate effective BIM collaboration.

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• 5+ years of experience in BIM coordination or management, preferably within an architectural practice.
• Expertise in Revit, Navisworks, and other industry-standard BIM software.
• Strong understanding of BIM protocols, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 19650).
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with model auditing and quality control procedures.
