Architectural Technologist - Residential Design

• Produce detailed architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and detailing, using BIM and CAD software.
• Develop construction documentation packages for residential projects, ensuring all technical specifications are met.
• Coordinate with architects and engineers to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical systems into the designs.
• Ensure designs comply with national building regulations, SANS codes, and local authority requirements.
• Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and specifications.
• Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to resolve technical queries during the construction phase.
• Maintain and update project documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Stay current with advancements in building technology and materials relevant to residential construction.

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist, with a focus on residential projects.
• Proficiency in Revit is essential; strong AutoCAD skills are also required.
• Solid understanding of South African building codes, National Building Regulations (N ), and SANS standards.
• Experience in producing detailed construction drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of construction methods and materials used in residential building.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
