About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Senior Physics Educator to join their dynamic science department in Rustenburg . This role demands an individual with a deep passion for physics and a proven ability to inspire students from Grade 10 to 12. You will be responsible for developing advanced physics curricula, leading practical laboratory sessions, and preparing students for final examinations and tertiary studies.
The successful candidate will contribute to fostering a vibrant scientific inquiry culture within the school, benefiting from a supportive team environment in North West province.
- Teach Physics to senior secondary school students, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the syllabus.
- Design and conduct engaging laboratory experiments and practical assessments to enhance student understanding.
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations, focusing on conceptual clarity and problem-solving skills.
- Develop innovative teaching materials and resources, integrating modern pedagogical techniques and technologies.
- Mentor junior science teachers and contribute to departmental planning and strategy meetings.
- Maintain accurate student records and provide regular progress reports to students and parents in Rustenburg .
- Bachelor's degree in Physics or a related scientific field, along with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7 years of teaching experience, with a focus on senior secondary Physics.
- Expert knowledge of the IEB or CAPS curriculum for Physical Sciences.
- Experience with virtual learning platforms and hybrid teaching models.
