Remote Aircraft Performance Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Aircraft Performance Analyst to join their team remotely. This pivotal role focuses on evaluating and optimizing aircraft performance data to enhance efficiency, safety, and operational cost-effectiveness. You will analyze flight data, fuel burn rates, climb/descent profiles, and other critical parameters to provide actionable insights and recommendations. Working from home, you will collaborate with flight operations, engineering, and planning departments globally, contributing to data-driven decision-making.

• Analyze flight data recorder (FDR) and cockpit voice recorder (CVR) data to assess aircraft performance and identify trends.
• Develop and refine algorithms for calculating fuel efficiency, optimum flight profiles, and other performance metrics.
• Generate detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommending operational improvements to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with software development teams to enhance data analysis tools and performance monitoring systems.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes affecting aircraft performance standards.
• Provide expert consultation on aircraft performance aspects for new aircraft acquisitions or modifications.

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft performance analysis or a closely related aviation discipline.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., MATLAB, Python with relevant libraries, Excel).
• Deep understanding of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and aircraft systems.
• Experience with flight data analysis software and techniques.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly in a remote setting .
