Junior Draughtsman

Our client, a leading company in the Heavy Steel Construction industry, is seeking a Junior Draughtsman to join their engineering and fabrication team in Rustenburg. The ideal candidate will have strong technical drawing skills, experience in AutoCAD and Tekla
, and a keen eye for detail within structural and SMPP environments.

• Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Tekla
• Prepare fabrication, assembly, and general arrangement drawings
• Update and revise drawings according to engineering changes

• Create detailed drawings for structural steel, platework, and piping
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and client specifications

• Assist workshop teams with drawing clarifications
• Provide support during fabrication and installation phases
• Ensure accurate document control and drawing version management

• Liaise with engineers, project managers, and workshop supervisors
• Attend project meetings when required
• Ensure timely delivery of drawings to support project schedules

• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Experience in Tekla Structures (essential)
• Ability to produce fabrication-ready drawings

• 1–3 years’ experience as a Draughtsman
• Experience in structural steel
  , SMPP
  , or fabrication environments (advantageous)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong organisational and document-management ability
