Training Officer

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To Conduct Effective Training and Meet Objectives of Initiative

• Grade 12 or NQF 4 Equivalent is essential
• Trade Qualification / Blasting Certification /Metallurgy is essential
• Assessor And Moderation Certificates is essential
• Relevant ETD qualification or relevant Diploma /Degree is essential
• Minimum 3 Years working experience in Human Resources Development practices is essential
• Previous training and supervisory experience is essential
• Previous experience in outcome – based training s essential

• Demonstrate a basic understanding of HRD legislation (Skills Development Act)
• Demonstrate the knowledge pertaining to basic Health & Safety principles in the workplace
• Following emergency procedures when required
• Assessment and Moderation practises
• Training Processes
• MQA Knowledge
• Demonstrate the knowledge of the Mine Health & Safety Act, regulation and definitions
• Basic Fire Fighting
• Basic First Aid

• Conduct targeted training and development using given methodologies
• Promotes a learning culture
• Ensure that training facilities and resources are optimally utilised, and safety guarded
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements
• Implements initiatives aimed at eliminating waste, improving productivity and reducing operations cost within scope and assist with the implementation thereof to contribute to the achievement of operational objectives
• Adhere to safety regulations and mine standards, procedures and practices and reports non - compliance
• Participates in regular safety meetings and makes recommendations to ensure overall safety
• Preforms regular inspections in area of work and report hazards to ensure environment is safely and hazards free and recommends remedial action where necessary.
