About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their established team in Rustenburg. This role demands a high level of expertise in electrical system design for industrial and commercial applications. You will take the lead on significant design projects, ensuring they meet stringent quality, safety, and performance standards. This position is critical for driving project success and mentoring a team of talented engineers within a structured, on-site work environment.

• Lead the electrical design process from concept to completion for various projects.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Specify electrical components, equipment, and control systems.
• Perform engineering calculations, including load calculations and fault current analysis.
• Oversee the technical aspects of project execution, working closely with installation teams.
• Ensure designs adhere to all relevant national and international standards and regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 7 years of experience in electrical design, with a strong focus on industrial systems.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP).
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., SANS, IEC).
• Experience with motor control, PLC systems, and industrial automation.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
