Construction Project Manager - Civil Engineering

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Construction Project Manager specializing in Civil Engineering projects for their operations in Rustenburg . This role demands a leader capable of managing large-scale infrastructure development, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to exacting standards. You will be instrumental in planning, executing, and closing out complex civil projects, collaborating with a diverse team of engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.

This position offers a significant opportunity to shape infrastructure development in the North West province.

• Oversee the planning, design, and execution of major civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, and earthworks.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring optimal allocation and control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards and regulations.
• Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Manage relationships with clients, government bodies, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project progress.
• Implement effective risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential project challenges.

• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering project management .
• Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and BIM (Building Information Modeling) is advantageous.
• A professional registration (e.g., Pr. Eng, Pr. CPM) is highly preferred.
