About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and analytical Chemical Engineer to contribute to their process development team in Rustenburg . This role is crucial for optimizing and scaling up chemical manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, safety, and product quality. You will be involved in pilot plant operations, process simulation, and troubleshooting complex chemical reactions. Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes for pilot and full-scale production.
- Conduct experiments and trials to evaluate process parameters and improve yields.
- Utilize process simulation software to model and analyze process performance.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in the chemical plant environment.
- Collaborate with production teams and R&D to implement process improvements and new technologies.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in process development or chemical manufacturing.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
- Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and mass transfer.
- Experience with safety protocols and environmental compliance in chemical plants.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required for operations in Rustenburg .
