Structural Civil Engineer - Building Design

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Structural Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team in Rustenburg. This position will focus on the structural design and analysis of various building projects, from residential complexes to commercial high-rises. You will work closely with architects and construction teams to ensure the safety, stability, and integrity of structures. This is a key role within our client's growing presence in the North West region, offering the chance to work on diverse and challenging projects that contribute to the urban development of the area.

• Perform structural analysis and design for building foundations, superstructures, and other building components.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software.
• Ensure designs comply with the National Building Regulations and relevant structural codes.
• Review construction submittals and provide technical support to site teams during the construction phase.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to resolve design and construction issues.

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in structural design of buildings.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) registration is advantageous.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP
  2000, ETABS, Prokon) and AutoCAD.
• In-depth knowledge of concrete, steel, and masonry design principles.
