Structural Engineer - Infrastructure Development

About the Role

Our client seeks a highly competent Structural Engineer to lead critical infrastructure development projects in Rustenburg . This role involves the design, analysis, and oversight of structural components for major civil engineering works, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with all national and international standards. You will collaborate with a team of engineers and project managers to deliver robust and sustainable infrastructure solutions.

• Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of infrastructure projects, including bridges, buildings, and utilities.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior engineers and project teams during the design and construction phases.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and verify adherence to design specifications.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project objectives are met.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA or eligibility for registration.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in structural engineering , with a strong focus on infrastructure.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP
  2000, ETABS, Revit Structure).
• Deep understanding of relevant South African building codes and standards applicable in Rustenburg .
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and project management skills.
