Our client, a leading geotechnical consultancy in Rustenburg , requires a proficient Geotechnical Engineer to support its expanding operations in the mining and construction sectors. This role involves conducting detailed site investigations, analyzing soil and rock mechanics, and providing expert advice on foundation design, slope stability, and earthworks. You will work on technically challenging projects, contributing essential geotechnical expertise to ensure the safety and viability of mining operations and construction developments in the North West province.

- Plan and execute site investigations, including drilling, sampling, and in-situ testing.
- Analyze soil and rock properties to determine engineering characteristics.
- Provide geotechnical design recommendations for foundations, retaining walls, and earthworks.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with slope stability, tunnelling, and excavations.
- Prepare comprehensive geotechnical investigation and design reports.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure effective project delivery.
- BSc or BEng in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Candidate Engineer.
- A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in geotechnical investigations and design.
- Experience with geotechnical software (e.g., Geo Studio, Plaxis) is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of geological conditions and soil mechanics relevant to South Africa.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
