Structural Engineer - Construction Projects

Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Structural Engineer to lead the structural design and oversight of major construction projects in Rustenburg . You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, safety, and stability of all structures, from initial concept through to completion. This role involves close collaboration with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver innovative and robust structural solutions.

• Perform structural analysis and design for various construction projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software.
• Review shop drawings and respond to contractor inquiries during the construction phase.
• Conduct site inspections to verify that construction is proceeding in accordance with design documents.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the project team.

• BEng or BTech degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional registration with ECSA is essential.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design and construction supervision.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP
  2000, ETABS, Prokon) and AutoCAD.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, materials science, and construction methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
