Event Coordinator - Sports & Leisure

About the Role

Our client is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Event Coordinator specializing in Sports & Leisure events to join their team in Rustenburg . You will be responsible for the planning, organization, and execution of a diverse range of events, from local sports tournaments to larger community leisure activities. This role requires excellent project management skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a passion for creating memorable experiences.

You will collaborate with various stakeholders, manage vendors, and ensure seamless event delivery from conception to completion, contributing to the vibrant cultural and sporting scene in the North West province.

• Plan and manage all logistical aspects of sports and leisure events, including venue selection, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.
• Develop and execute event marketing and promotional strategies to maximize attendance and engagement.
• Oversee on-site event management, including staff coordination and problem-solving.
• Manage event budgets, track expenses, and provide post-event financial reports.
• Ensure all events comply with safety regulations and licensing requirements.

• Proven experience as an Event Coordinator , preferably within the sports or leisure industry.
• Strong project management skills with a keen eye for detail and organization.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in event management software and MS Office Suite.
• A degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
