About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented and innovative Senior VFX Artist to join their creative studio in Rustenburg . This role is crucial for bringing visually stunning effects to life in our next generation of interactive entertainment. You will be responsible for creating high-fidelity visual effects, from explosions and magic spells to environmental phenomena, working within a dedicated team of artists and engineers.

We are seeking a candidate with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of particle systems and shaders, and the ability to collaborate effectively to achieve groundbreaking visual results. • Create, implement, and optimize visual effects (VFX) for games and interactive media using industry-standard tools.
• Design and develop particle systems, shaders, and post-processing effects to achieve desired visual aesthetics.
• Collaborate with game designers and engineers to integrate VFX seamlessly into the game engine.
• Ensure VFX performance is optimized across target platforms while maintaining visual quality.
• Stay current with emerging VFX technologies and techniques, and share knowledge with the team.

• 5+ years of professional experience as a VFX Artist in the game development industry.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in creating a wide range of real-time visual effects.
• Proficiency in game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity, and related VFX tools.
• Experience with 3D modeling, texturing, and animation software is a plus.
• Excellent artistic sense, strong understanding of physics, and a passion for visual storytelling.
