About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and astute Commercial Credit Analyst to join their established team in Rustenburg . In this crucial role, you will assess the creditworthiness of commercial clients, analyze financial statements, and make informed recommendations regarding loan applications and credit facilities. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial accounts, monitoring risk, and ensuring compliance with credit policies.
This position is vital to the bank's risk management framework and requires a candidate with strong analytical acumen and a commitment to sound lending practices within a traditional office setting.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and industry trends to assess credit risk.
- Prepare comprehensive credit reports and recommendations for loan committee review.
- Monitor assigned loan portfolio for changes in credit quality and compliance issues.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to the bank's credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities within the commercial loan portfolio.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Credit Analyst, Loan Officer, or in a similar credit risk role.
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and credit underwriting principles.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and internal collaboration.
