About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Public Affairs Officer to join their team in Rustenburg . Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the organization's public and governmental affairs.
  • Monitor legislative, regulatory, and policy developments affecting the company's operations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government officials, community leaders, and industry associations.
  • Prepare briefing materials, position papers, and reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at relevant public forums, meetings, and conferences.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement initiatives and community outreach programs.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Law, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public affairs, government relations, or corporate communications.
  • Demonstrated understanding of government processes and policy-making at local and national levels.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong written and presentation skills.
