About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Network Operations Specialist to join their team in Rustenburg . This role is essential for the continuous monitoring, management, and optimization of our client's network infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and performance. You will play a crucial part in identifying and resolving network issues swiftly, thereby maintaining the high standards of service our clients expect.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your expertise in network operations within a supportive and technically advanced environment in the North West province.
- Monitor network performance and availability using specialized tools, identifying potential issues before they impact service.
- Respond to network alerts and incidents, performing initial diagnostics and escalating as necessary.
- Implement routine network changes and configuration updates according to established procedures.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and incident logs.
- Assist in the planning and execution of network maintenance activities and upgrades.
- Collaborate with field technicians and other IT teams to resolve connectivity and performance problems.
- Experience in network monitoring and operations, or a similar role in IT support.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SNMP, Nagios, Zabbix) and ticketing systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts , including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing principles.
- Ability to analyze network data and identify performance bottlenecks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
