MRP Planner

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To analyse inventory levels in order to supply materials to end users in support of Impala mining operations and manage processes within materials management to ensure legal compliance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12/NQF4 equivalent is essential
• Supply Chain Management/Business Administration Diploma/Degree or NQF equivalent or related field is essential
• Minimum 2 years inventory planning experience is essential
• Minimum 4 years' experience in stores & warehousing, purchasing management, and inventory management is essential
• Must have a valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate

COMPETENCIES:

• Knowledge of Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
• Knowledge of SAP
• Knowledge of all Inventory Management procedures and processes
• Analytical and numerical skills
• MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Ensures that Impala's inventory policies and procedures are being adhered to.
• Ensures that inventory level is financially feasible and viable for both in-house customers and the company.
• Implements processes to minimize obsolete or redundant stock.
• Maintains acceptable service levels as per SLA (Service Level Agreement).
• Minimizes out of stock through reporting, expediting master data maintenance.
• Co-ordinates administrative functions with regards to stock taking including ad-hoc as well as scheduled annual and bi-annual stock takes.
• Compiles and analyses variance account reconciliations in order to identify inaccurate/abnormal transactions
• Compiles weekly and monthly reports, reviews and interprets data in order to identify deviations and corrective actions.
• Builds and maintains good relationships with suppliers and End Users.
• Analyses and provides guidance with query resolution process.
