Operations Manager - FMCG Logistics

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and efficient Operations Manager to oversee their logistics and supply chain operations for FMCG products in Rustenburg. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of goods, optimizing warehouse management, and maintaining high standards of operational excellence. You will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating transportation, and leading the operations team to meet demanding production and distribution schedules.

• Oversee daily operations, including inventory management, warehousing, and distribution of FMCG products.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies within the warehouse and distribution facilities.
• Lead, train, and manage the operations team, fostering a productive and safe working environment.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to address any operational deviations.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the FMCG or logistics sector.
• Proven track record of successfully managing warehouse operations, inventory control, and distribution networks.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and operational best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
