Buyer, Supply Chain​/Logistics

Our client is seeking a diligent Buyer to join their purchasing team in Rustenburg . This hybrid role offers a balance between in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing you to contribute effectively to the company's supply chain operations. You will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring the timely availability of goods required for production and operations. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong negotiation skills, and be committed to achieving cost efficiencies while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless procurement processes.

• Source and procure materials, equipment, and services in accordance with company specifications and budget constraints.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with a network of suppliers, evaluating their capabilities and performance.
• Negotiate favourable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with relevant departments to forecast future material needs.
• Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
• Stay informed about market trends, new products, and potential supply chain risks.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a purchasing or buying role.
• Solid understanding of procurement best practices and supply chain management principles.
• Experience in negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.
• Proficiency in relevant purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
