Operations Supervisor - Cold Chain Logistics

Our client, a leader in specialized cold chain logistics, is looking for an adept Operations Supervisor to manage daily operations at their facility in Rustenburg, North West . • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day warehouse activities, focusing on the efficient handling of temperature-sensitive goods.
• Ensure all operations comply with stringent quality control measures and regulatory requirements for cold chain logistics.
• Manage inventory levels and storage conditions to maintain product integrity and minimize spoilage.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of safety and precision.
• Oversee the receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping processes within the facility.
• Monitor temperature control systems and alert relevant parties to any deviations or potential issues.
• Implement and enforce health and safety protocols specific to cold storage environments.
• Collaborate with transportation and planning teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain accurate records and generate reports on operational performance, inventory status, and temperature logs.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in cold chain or temperature-controlled environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cold storage best practices, HACCP, and relevant food safety standards.
• Experience with inventory management systems and WMS is essential.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Basic understanding of refrigeration systems and temperature monitoring is an advantage.
• Must be willing to work shifts if required and be based in or near Rustenburg, North West .
