About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to lead their maintenance team in Rustenburg . This critical role involves overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring all plant machinery and facilities are in optimal working condition. You will be responsible for scheduling preventative maintenance, managing repair work, supervising a team of technicians, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
The successful candidate will be a strong leader, adept at problem-solving and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team , including scheduling work and assigning tasks.
- Develop and implement effective preventative maintenance programs for all plant equipment and facilities.
- Oversee the repair and upkeep of machinery, infrastructure, and utility systems.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations and promote a safety-conscious culture within the team.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers for necessary equipment and services.
- Troubleshoot complex maintenance issues and provide technical guidance to the team.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a technical or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Excellent knowledge of preventative maintenance strategies and implementation.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance logs.
- Relevant trade qualification or technical degree is advantageous.
