Accounting Manager: Lead Finance Team & Strategy

About the Role

Our client in Rustenburg, North West is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to lead their finance team. This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and driving process improvements. The successful candidate will manage a team of accounting professionals, develop financial strategies, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. • Lead and manage the accounting department, including staff supervision, performance management, and professional development.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Manage the accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws, GAAP, and regulatory requirements, and manage external audits.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance;
  Professional qualification (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA) strongly preferred.
• Proven experience (7+ years) in accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Expertise in financial reporting, management accounting, and South African tax regulations.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with strong Excel skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
