General Manager - Operations

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned General Manager - Operations to lead their significant business unit in Rustenburg. This executive role is responsible for the overall strategic direction and operational execution of the business, driving profitability, market share, and operational excellence. You will be accountable for all aspects of the business, including P&L responsibility, team leadership, strategic planning, and ensuring the company meets its commercial and operational objectives within this key province.

The ideal candidate will have a proven history of success in a general management capacity, demonstrating strong leadership and business acumen.

• Develop and execute the company's strategic plan to achieve short-term and long-term business objectives.
• Oversee all operational functions, including production, sales, marketing, finance, and human resources.
• Manage the profit and loss (P&L) for the business unit, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
• Lead and inspire a diverse team of professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive growth and innovation.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company policies.

• MBA or a Master's degree in a relevant business field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a General Manager or similar senior executive role.
• Demonstrated P&L responsibility and a strong financial acumen.
• Expertise in strategic planning and execution.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven track record of business development and driving revenue growth.
