Attendant (Plant) – B1 New

In this role you will be responsible for:

Safe operation of the beneficiation chrome recovery plant and all supporting plant processes.

Complete pre-start checklist to ensure that all equipment is safe to operate and report any non-conformances to the shift supervisor.

Perform sampling duties and ensuring that the plant produces quality saleable product.

Continuously monitor feed to plant, sump levels, feed distributors, pumps, and water balance as well as check process efficiency and report any deviations to the shift supervisor.

Monitor process water quality, thickener circuit and operation of flocculent plant

Perform maintenance on metallurgical equipment in the plant.

Cleaning and unblocking of spirals, nozzles, pipes, launders, chutes, sumps & distributors.

Attend to plant breakdowns and assist the engineering department where required.

Perform general housekeeping and upkeep duties around the site.

Comply with health, safety & environment requirements and actively participate in operational safety.

Grade 10

1-year relevant plant experience in relation to spiral, HMS, crushing & screening.

Good communication skills.

Medically Fit to work at heights & in confined spaces.
