About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee operations at their facility in Rustenburg . This critical role involves leading a team of production operators and technicians to ensure the efficient, safe, and compliant manufacture of high-quality pharmaceutical products. You will be responsible for daily production planning, adherence to stringent GMP guidelines, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This position requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and a commitment to operational excellence, contributing to the reliable supply of essential medicines.
- Supervise and direct daily manufacturing activities, ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently.
- Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Train, mentor, and manage a team of production personnel, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Monitor production processes, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality and process efficiency.
- Oversee equipment operation, maintenance, and calibration to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
- Participate in process validation, deviation investigations, and change control activities.
- Manage production scheduling, resource allocation, and inventory control for raw materials and finished goods.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and pharmaceutical production technologies.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, foster collaboration, and drive performance.
- Excellent understanding of process control, quality assurance, and safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in manufacturing execution systems (MES) and ERP systems is a plus.
