About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Industrial Engineer to focus on process improvement initiatives within their key facility in Rustenburg . This role is central to enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and productivity. You will be responsible for identifying bottlenecks, analyzing complex data, and implementing sustainable solutions that drive tangible business results.
This position requires a strong presence on the factory floor, working closely with operational teams to understand challenges and implement improvements effectively.
- Conduct detailed analyses of current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
- Design, develop, and implement improved workflows, layouts, and production systems.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles and tools to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
- Manage and execute projects focused on enhancing product quality and reducing operational expenses.
- Collaborate with production staff, supervisors, and management to implement and sustain process changes.
- Monitor process performance, collect data, and report on key metrics to track progress and identify further areas for development.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in industrial engineering , with a strong focus on process improvement.
- Demonstrated experience with lean methodologies , Six Sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and performance measurement techniques.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and supply chain principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration in Rustenburg .
