About the Role
Our client seeks a dedicated Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer to enhance production processes and ensure operational efficiency at their facility in Rustenburg . This hands-on role is essential for optimizing manufacturing lines, troubleshooting equipment failures, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. You will be a key player in ensuring the smooth and cost-effective production of high-quality goods. The ideal candidate possesses a strong mechanical aptitude, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and productivity within a demanding industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Design, implement, and validate new manufacturing equipment and tooling.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production machinery and systems.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Work closely with quality control to address product defects and implement corrective actions.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
- At least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
- Experience with process optimization techniques (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
- Familiarity with industrial automation and control systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and a practical, hands-on approach to engineering challenges in Rustenburg .
