About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Engineer specializing in Production Optimization to join their key operations in Rustenburg . This role is crucial for driving efficiency, reducing operational costs, and improving the overall productivity of our manufacturing lines. You will be responsible for analyzing current production methods, implementing innovative solutions, and ensuring that all processes meet the highest standards of quality and output.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing principles and a proven track record in optimizing production environments.
- Conduct detailed analyses of production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.
- Develop, test, and implement new production methodologies and technologies to boost output and quality.
- Design and implement factory layouts and material flow systems to optimize space utilization and workflow.
- Collaborate with production managers and line supervisors to achieve production targets and resolve operational issues.
- Manage projects focused on cost reduction, waste elimination, and productivity improvements.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production efficiency and quality control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Arena, Flex Sim) and CAD tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams towards achieving operational excellence.
