About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytical Chemist to join their state-of-the-art Pharmaceutical R&D laboratory located in Rustenburg . This role is critical for ensuring the quality and efficacy of our client's drug products throughout their development lifecycle. You will be responsible for developing, validating, and implementing analytical methods for the characterization and quality control of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and finished products.
The position requires a meticulous approach to experimental design, data interpretation, and regulatory compliance within a collaborative laboratory setting.
- Develop and validate analytical methods using techniques such as HPLC, GC, MS, UV-Vis, and FTIR.
- Perform routine testing and characterization of raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products.
- Investigate and resolve analytical method deviations and Out-of-Specification (OOS) results.
- Write detailed method validation reports, analytical test procedures, and stability study protocols.
- Troubleshoot and maintain analytical instrumentation to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with formulation scientists and process development teams to support product development efforts.
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical analytical chemistry.
- Extensive hands-on experience with various analytical techniques and instrumentation.
- Thorough understanding of cGMP guidelines and regulatory requirements (e.g., ICH).
- Proven ability to develop and validate analytical methods for complex matrices.
