Location: Rustenburg, North West
Rate: R72.30 per hour
Employment Type: Contractor
The Quality Control (QC) Monitor is responsible for inspecting products, materials and production processes to ensure they meet required quality, safety and operational standards. The role involves identifying defects, recording inspection results, reporting non-conformances and ensuring that products that do not meet specifications are appropriately rejected or flagged.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect raw materials, components and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Conduct quality checks using appropriate tools, gauges and testing equipment.
- Monitor production and work areas to ensure required quality and safety procedures are followed.
- Record inspection results, including measurements, weights, temperatures and defect quantities.
- Identify, isolate, label or reject products that do not meet the required standards.
- Report quality defects, non-conformances and process deviations to the relevant supervisor or manager.
- Assist with identifying the root causes of quality problems and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality control records and documentation.
- Conduct routine inspections throughout the production process.
- Ensure quality procedures and company standards are consistently maintained.
- Escalate serious or recurring quality issues promptly.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects and improving product quality.
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Previous experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Production or Manufacturing will be advantageous.
- Basic understanding of quality control and inspection procedures.
- Ability to use basic measuring and inspection equipment.
- Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to identify defects and deviations from specifications.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a production environment.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends or overtime when required.
- Quality-conscious and detail-oriented.
- Good observation and problem-solving skills.
