Quality Inspector – Mining & Energy Projects
We have a new position available at one of our clients in the mining industry for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their project team. The position will be based in Rustenburg, Northwest and will report directly to the Project Manager
. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, monitoring and verifying the quality of construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities. The role requires a strong understanding of construction quality standards, technical specifications, inspection and test plans, and quality control procedures to ensure that all project activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, safety requirements and project standards.

National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Quality, Engineering, Construction or a related field
.
Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in quality inspection or quality control within industrial, mining, processing plant, infrastructure, construction or energy projects.
Experience conducting site inspections and monitoring construction and installation activities.
Experience reviewing technical drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans (ITPs), method statements and quality plans.
Knowledge of construction quality control practices across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation disciplines.
Experience managing non-conformances, corrective actions, quality punch lists and project quality documentation.
Experience verifying materials, workmanship, testing activities and commissioning records.
Understanding of material certificates, certificates of conformity, calibration certificates and quality handover documentation.
Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
Strong communication, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail, integrity and the ability to address quality concerns confidently and professionally.
Must be willing and able to work on-site in North West
.
Advantageous:
A qualification in Quality Management.
Relevant inspection certifications in welding, concrete, civil, mechanical, electrical or instrumentation disciplines.
Internal or lead auditor certification.
Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS) or similar energy projects.
Experience supporting commissioning, project handover and quality audits.
