Quality Control Inspector - Automotive Parts

Our client, a prominent manufacturer of automotive components, is seeking a diligent and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join their team in Rustenburg, North West . This critical role involves ensuring that all manufactured automotive parts meet stringent quality standards and specifications before they are dispatched. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail, a solid understanding of quality control methodologies, and experience working with precision measuring instruments.

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished automotive parts.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs to verify product conformity to specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed quality records.
• Identify and segregate non-conforming products, initiating appropriate corrective action requests.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to all quality management system procedures and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Operate and maintain inspection equipment.
• Provide feedback to production personnel on quality trends and potential issues.
• Contribute to a culture of quality awareness throughout the manufacturing facility.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a technical qualification in quality control or manufacturing is advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Control Inspector, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in using various precision measuring tools and equipment.
• Strong understanding of quality control principles and inspection techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of IATF 16949 standards is highly desirable.
