Principal Scientist - Drug Discovery

Our client is seeking a distinguished Principal Scientist with a strong background in Drug Discovery to join their innovative research facility in Rustenburg . You will be instrumental in driving the discovery and development of novel drug candidates for unmet medical needs. This senior role involves leading cross-functional project teams, designing strategic research plans, and contributing expert scientific knowledge to accelerate our pipeline.

• Lead the design and execution of discovery research programs aimed at identifying and validating novel drug targets.

• Oversee the synthesis and optimization of lead compounds, collaborating closely with medicinal chemistry teams.

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related life science discipline.
• Extensive experience (10+ years) in drug discovery, with a proven track record of bringing candidates into clinical development.
