Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and organized Logistics Coordinator to join their operations in Rustenburg . This role is central to ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods, coordinating transportation, managing documentation, and liaising with various stakeholders to meet delivery deadlines. You will be instrumental in optimizing logistics routes, tracking shipments, and resolving any issues that may arise during transit.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics principles, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to internal and external clients, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products.

• Coordinate and manage domestic and international shipments, ensuring timely delivery.
• Arrange transportation with carriers, negotiate rates, and monitor carrier performance.
• Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices.
• Track shipments in real-time and provide updates to stakeholders regarding delivery status.
• Resolve logistical issues and discrepancies, such as delays, damages, or lost shipments.
• Maintain strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure operational flow.

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of logistics processes , transportation management, and customs regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
