About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Driver to join their established transportation division based in Rustenburg . This position involves the long-distance transportation of goods across South Africa, requiring a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and vehicle maintenance. You will be an essential part of our supply chain, ensuring that our clients receive their goods reliably and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is a professional driver with extensive experience handling large vehicles and navigating various road conditions.

• Operate HGV vehicles safely and compliantly on long-haul routes throughout South Africa .
• Securely load and unload cargo, ensuring adherence to weight limits and proper bracing.
• Maintain detailed logs of travel time, distance, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
• Perform routine checks on HGV vehicles, including brakes, tires, and fluid levels, reporting issues promptly.
• Adhere to all road traffic laws and company policies regarding driving hours and rest periods.

• Valid Code 14 driver's license with PDP.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience driving Heavy Goods Vehicles.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Good geographical knowledge of South African roads and logistics hubs.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively for long-distance travel.
