Our client, a reputable provider of specialized transport services, is seeking a highly skilled and reliable Specialized Goods Transport Driver to operate out of Rustenburg, North West
. This role involves the transportation of sensitive and high-value goods, requiring utmost care, precision, and adherence to strict protocols. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with heavy-duty vehicles and a deep understanding of the unique challenges associated with transporting specialized cargo. This is a physically demanding role based entirely on-site, ensuring the secure movement of goods across various challenging terrains.

• Safely operate specialized vehicles for the transport of sensitive and high-value cargo.
• Plan and execute optimal routes, considering road conditions and cargo requirements.
• Ensure all cargo is loaded, secured, and unloaded according to specific handling procedures.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and its specialized equipment.
• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company protocols for specialized transport.
• Maintain detailed logs of all journeys, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and relevant stakeholders regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
• Perform minor maintenance and ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle and equipment.
• Provide real-time updates on cargo condition and location as required.
• Represent the company professionally to clients and at delivery points.

• Valid Code 14 (EC) driver's license with a valid PrDP (Professional Driving Permit).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience driving heavy-duty vehicles, preferably in specialized transport.
• Proven experience handling sensitive, high-value, or oversized cargo.
• Excellent knowledge of Rustenburg and the surrounding North West region, as well as broader South African road networks.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to strict operational procedures.
• Ability to perform physical tasks related to loading and securing cargo.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
