About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Operations Manager to oversee their FMCG warehouse and distribution operations in Rustenburg . You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective management of all warehousing activities, including inventory control, logistics, and staff supervision. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods from receipt to dispatch, ensuring product quality and timely delivery to customers across the North West province.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in supply chain management and a commitment to operational excellence.
- Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and operational processes to optimize space utilization and workflow.
- Oversee inventory management systems to ensure accuracy, minimize stockouts, and reduce waste.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff to achieve high performance standards.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role, preferably in an FMCG or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
