Warehouse Shift Supervisor

Our client, a prominent logistics and warehousing company operating in Rustenburg, North West , is actively searching for a diligent and proactive Warehouse Shift Supervisor to lead their operations during critical shifts. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of all warehouse activities, maintaining high standards of productivity, safety, and accuracy. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team, managing daily tasks, and upholding operational excellence.

This is an on-site position, requiring dedicated presence within the warehouse facility to directly oversee and guide the workforce. Your leadership will be key to achieving daily targets and ensuring operational continuity.

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff during assigned shifts.
• Ensure all warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping, are executed efficiently and accurately.
• Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and address any performance issues promptly.
• Enforce all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Manage workload distribution and task prioritization to meet operational deadlines.
• Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse facility and equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in cycle counting activities.
• Address operational challenges and implement solutions to minimize disruptions.
• Communicate effectively with other supervisors and management regarding shift operations and concerns.

• Previous experience (minimum 3 years) in a supervisory or team lead role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of warehouse operatives.
• Good understanding of warehouse processes, safety procedures, and inventory management principles.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
