Logistics Coordinator - Night Shift

Our client, a dynamic and fast-growing logistics enterprise, is seeking a diligent and proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize operations during the night shift at their Rustenburg, North West distribution center. This critical role ensures the smooth flow of goods and efficient coordination of all warehousing activities after standard business hours. You will be responsible for overseeing the receiving, dispatch, and storage processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to all company policies and safety standards.

• Oversee and manage all warehouse activities during the night shift, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatching.
• Coordinate the efficient loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage inventory control procedures to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
• Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Supervise and direct the work of warehouse staff on the night shift, providing guidance and support.
• Monitor the performance of the night shift operations and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of all inventory movements and operational activities.
• Communicate effectively with day shift supervisors and management regarding operational status and any issues encountered.
• Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Address and resolve any operational challenges or emergencies that arise during the shift.

• Previous experience in a logistics or warehouse environment, with a focus on operational coordination.
• Experience working night shifts is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and dispatch procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Knowledge of health and safety protocols within a warehouse setting is required.
• Residing in or near Rustenburg, North West is necessary due to the nature of the role.
